Client Services
The standard does not end at the sale.
Every OTMOS piece is serviced to the standard it was built to, warranted against fault, and confirmed genuine by its own record. The terms below state how each is done.
01/Servicing
The service.
A mechanical piece is serviced on an interval, not on failure. The movement is dismantled, cleaned, lubricated, and timed again to the rate it left on. A service is arranged through the atelier, and the piece is returned with its rate confirmed.
Serviced every four to five years, sooner if the piece is worn daily.
The movement is dismantled, cleaned, lubricated, and re-timed in every position.
Case gaskets are replaced and water resistance is re-tested at each service.
A service is arranged through the atelier. The piece is collected and returned insured.
02/Warranty
The warranty.
Each piece carries a warranty against fault in material and manufacture from its delivery date. The warranty covers the movement, case, dial, and setting. It does not cover wear, misuse, or work by an unauthorized watchmaker.
Warranted two years from delivery, registered to the original owner.
The warranty covers fault in the movement, case, dial, and setting.
It does not cover wear, accidental damage, or work by an unauthorized watchmaker.
The warranty is registered at delivery and travels with the piece.
03/Authentication
The proof of the piece.
A genuine OTMOS piece carries three marks: the hallmark struck into the case, the single reference recorded at the bench, and the papers issued at delivery. Any one of them is confirmed against the atelier's record.
A hallmark is struck into the case at finishing, read under loupe.
Each piece carries a single reference number, recorded once at the bench.
Papers are signed and dated at delivery, matched to the reference.
The atelier confirms any piece against its record on request.
04/Provenance
The origin of the material.
The gold and the stones are accounted for before the work begins. Gold is fire-assayed at intake. Diamonds are examined, graded, and matched under loupe. Each piece is cut, set, and finished in Rajkot, and its material record is kept.
